Dr. Cooper and two PhD student lab members, Jayxa Alonzo and Francesca Lupini, traveled to Panama City to present their research at the SRCD Anti-Racist Summit. The conference aimed to bring together developmental scientists to address critical issues related to racial equity and justice in developmental science. Highlights included: networking lunches where they had the opportunity to share ideas and meet fellow researchers with overlapping interests, attending inspiring sessions focused on activism and community engagement, learning about the history of the Panama Canal, and taking conference breaks to lounge in the pool
